Enter your date of birth. It stays on this device; nothing you type here is sent anywhere.

Born on the first of a month? Medicare counts you as 65 the month before, and these dates already reflect that.

What to do first

  1. Find your window.Three months before your birthday month through three months after.
  2. Check your Part B timing.Still working with job coverage? You may be able to wait without a penalty. Ask before you decide.
  3. Choose your path.Original Medicare with a Supplement and a drug plan, or a Medicare Advantage plan.
  4. Enroll before the window closes.Late enrollment penalties for Part B and Part D can last as long as you have Medicare.
  5. Keep us close.Questions after you enroll, and a fresh look every fall.

Already getting Social Security?

You are usually enrolled in Parts A and B automatically, and your Medicare card arrives in the mail about three months before your 65th birthday.

Not getting Social Security yet? You sign up yourself, through Social Security. Either way, choosing a Supplement or a Medicare Advantage plan is a separate step, and that is where we come in.
